What this is
Abolition Events is a free website where abolitionist groups organize. Members create and manage groups, plan events, RSVP, invite one another, talk things through, and afterwards share links to the videos and photos they published.
It is run by abolitionists, for abolitionists. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Abolitionists Rising or any other organization. Everyone who joins affirms the Norman Statement, which is reproduced here with attribution.
There is nothing to buy. We take a name, an email address and — if you want events near you — a city. Nothing is sold, and there is no advertising.
Hosts often cannot say where an event is until shortly before it starts. The site is built for that.
An event always shows its general area. The exact location is shared only with the people the host chooses — those who RSVP, or members of the hosting group — and only when the host decides, such as two hours beforehand.
Addresses are never put in an email, never shown on the map, and never included in a search-engine preview.
